REC.ON Residence offers private single and double rooms with shared or en-suite bathrooms in an authentic rural co-living apartment. At the foothills of the mountain, as well as in the buildings, you’ll find a Art & design Gallery/Open Studio /Co-working space.
The Residence provides specially designed spaces for individual creative work, relaxation, or meditation. In the ecological garden – surrounded by organic crops and chickens – there is an area with a table and seating, while at the foot of the mountains there are hammocks and a treehouse platform built with an eco-design mission – ideal for focused work in nature.
There is also an on-site workshop dedicated to projects using wood, metal, and recycled or reclaimed materials.

Life at the Residence naturally combines individual creativity with connection to an inspiring and eco-friendly, creative community. You can start your day with delicious coffee and a shared breakfast, and thematic workshops are held regularly on-site. A marked mountain trail leading directly from the residence is an added bonus. Your residency will be enriched by exploring Andalusian culture, including Saturday outings to the street market and tapas bars in the historic town of Vélez-Rubio. Residents who stay with us for a minimum of four weeks can showcase their work or organize a final exhibition at the REC.ON Open Studio Gallery.
Hosts Paulina & Bart – artisans and designers specializing in upcycling – will provide warm hospitality, technical assistance, and artistic support.

Fee includes:
✔ Accomodation in a private single or double rooms  in the coliving rural apartment 
✔ Morning coffee + homemade breakfast with vegetables from the bio garden (5 times x week: Mon–Fri)
✔Access to ART & Design Gallery/Open Studio on site:  co-working space, shared with other residents
✔Access to the workshop space (arranged individually)
✔Access to common areas (equipped kitchen, living room, chillout areas and art installations on the grounds, permaculture garden)
✔Access to permaculture garden on-site
✔Residence bills, STARLINK wifi
✔Visit to the historic city of Velez Rubio, sightseeing, local mercado and cultural attractions
✔Transfers between Vélez-Rubio bus station and REC.ON Residence: arrival and departure, for residents travelling by public transport.

Fee not include:
•Travel expenses to and from Vélez Rubio (flights, local transportation).
•Meals (except for breakfasts as listed above).
•Art materials and personal supplies.
•Individual artistic tools and materials (canvases, brushes, paints, etc.) Artists can order materials online directly to the Residence address (artists place orders themselves).
•Health, travel, or liability insurance.
•Visa or legal documentation, if applicable.

Local Transfer:
The residency fee includes a transfer from the Vélez-Rubio bus station to the residence on your arrival and departure days, available during daytime hours.
