The REC.ON Residence welcomes those who are tired, burnt out, or lacking energy, seeking a peaceful, authentic place where they can slow down and see the world from a new perspective. It’s a space inspired by nature, simplicity, and art – a place where you can find your rhythm and meet a community of creative, open-minded people. The Residence also offers a space for practicing mindfulness and a more mindful lifestyle – being present in the here and now, both in everyday life and in the creative process.

We are not a therapeutic center – we simply create conditions conducive to regeneration, inspiration, and a return to the joy of life.

REC.ON Ecovillage was founded in 2019 as a creative hub by Pauline and Bart, who decided to slow down, leave the city, and start living differently. Today, they share this space with people who feel the same way: tired of the pace of life, looking for space, inspiration, and a purpose in life.

Here, you can be alone or meet others—artists, travelers, and people on the go. Cooking and eating together are an important part of everyday life—a time to talk about life, values, and share experiences in an open, relaxed atmosphere.

Authentic Experiences:
The REC.ON Residence regularly hosts workshops and activities on-site. These include olive and almond harvesting, an organic garden, gardening, recycling arts, writing, and mindfulness sessions. REC.ON also offers cultural events such as art exhibitions, poetry readings, live concerts, and winter bonfires. The residence also organizes excursions to nearby villages to experience authentic Andalusian life, visit tapas bars, explore the town, and meet locals.

How to Get to the REC.ON Residency:

Transfer:
The fee includes the Resident’s transfer from Vélez-Rubio bus station to the accommodation on the day of arrival and departure.

Rural Life: Shopping & Trips 
Located in the village of Bolaimi, 12 km from Vélez-Rubio (a small Andalusian town), the REC.ON Residence offers shopping and transport assistance (for Residents arriving by public transport):
Upon arrival: Residents can do their initial shopping in town.
Every Saturday (11:00 AM): REC.ON Residence organizes a trip to Vélez-Rubio to visit the local market, historical sites, and tapas bars.
On-site: There is an organic garden with seasonal vegetables available at the Residence.
Excursions: For additional shopping, local taxis are available, or you can ask the Residence for transport information and assistance on-site.
