REC.ON is a space for workshops, creative projects and collaborations.

We host organized groups participating in workshops and retreats led by artists, educators, cultural facilitators, or institutions.

Teachers, trainers, and cultural animators are invited to bring their own groups and develop their own programs on-site, using REC.ON as a space for workshops, residencies, retreats, and collaborative projects.
Individual participants are also welcome to join us on selected dates for specific workshops or exhibitions.

The space is also available for group or individual projects, performances or exhibitions

REC.ON, located in a restored farmhouse in the Andalusian mountains, offers a peaceful setting where we have created spaces for workshops, exhibitions, performances including classes on organic gardening, natural building, upcycling, creative practices and mindfulness.

Facilities & Logistics

– Private rooms (single or double) in a restored Andalusian co-living apartment
– Flexible workspaces across the site: apartment, Gallery coworking space, Studio, and outdoor areas at the foot of the mountains, tree platform installation for creation, relaxation, and meditation
– Use of indoor and outdoor spaces adapted to your thematic and technical needs (tables, chairs, hammocks, scenic viewpoints)
– Workshop equipped for basic wood and metal processing and creative reuse of materials
– Transfer from the Vélez-Rubio bus stop to the Residency
– Weekly Saturday trip to the local market in Vélez-Rubio, followed by tapas or sightseeing
– Transportation assistance
– Peace and quiet close to nature, ideal for writing, painting, designing, and other creative work
– Freshly ground coffee and homemade breakfasts from the organic garden (5 times a week)
– Shared meals and on-site catering with organic ingredients
– Hospitality and artistic guidance of Paulina and Bart, craftsmen and artists working in upcycled design

Artistic & Cultural Program

– Permaculture garden workspace surrounded by organic vegetables and mountain landscapes
– Gardening and ecological workshops
– Guided mountain hikes
– Visits to nearby Andalusian towns and caves
– Optional meetings with Andalusian artists, including studio visits
– Cultural program: presentations, concerts, bonfires, eco-sauna (winter), workshops in permaculture, upcycling design, and culinary practices
– Final exhibition or presentation of works and texts created during the program at the REC.ON Gallery (for 4-week stays)
– Collaboration with local associations, cultural institutions, and the Vélez-Rubio Town Hall
